In 2007, The North Carolina Arc Users Group (NCAUG) established a Student Scholarship Fund to help support full-time students enrolled in an accredited North Carolina Community College or University pursuing a degree our course-work with an emphasis in GIS. The Scholarship Fund is supported financially by NCAUG through a small allocation from its annual budget, private donations, and especially a Cash Raffle held at the annual NCAUG Fall Conference. Future avenues of funding are currently being developed. In 2008, the first two NCAUG Student Scholarship awards were presented. The number of scholarships and amount of each will likely vary annually depending on funding. In addition, recipients will receive free registration for the annual NCAUG Fall Conference and will be encouraged to give a presentation in the Student Session. Awards will be made during the Banquet Dinner at this Conference
